AMC registration is now sliding scale ($50 - $500). How much should I pay?
The true cost of a weekend like this is hundreds of dollars per person. AMP is grateful for funding from the Nathan Cummings Foundation, the Media Democracy Fund, and dozens of sponsors, which helps bring down the cost per person to $125.
We know that many of the people who most need to be at the AMC can't afford $125, we are making the cost of AMC registration a sliding scale between $50 and $500 so that there is a place for everyone.
Keeping the AMC accessible to people who are traditionally marginalized from conference spaces is what makes it great. In order to keep the AMC that way, we each have a responsibility to invest what we can. Perhaps $125 is a stretch for your personal budget – but not impossible. Perhaps it's drastically lower than what you are used to paying for a conference, and you could really pay $250. Perhaps even paying $50 is difficult, but you are willing to do it because you would rather pay for this conference than that we rely on foundations to ensure that it exists into the future. Whatever your scenario, by paying as much as you can, you directly support our ability to bring the AMC to its full potential and we appreciate that.
